Fun, fun, fun!

My bro, Matthew's Uncle Greg, just visited from Oregon for a week - we had so much fun visiting with him! He took some great pics - in fact, I have so many pics I'd like to share, I'm just going to let the pictures (and a few captions) do the talking.

The middle pic is my fave - GREAT shot of Matthew & Grandpa. Love the affects Greg used - and in one photo, you can see a little of my baby belly :)

My parents just celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary!! To celebrate, we went to The Beachhouse in Encinitas - afterwards Greg took a few beach/sunset shots. Matthew is holding both mine & Uncle Greg's hand in the middle shot. The later shots are of Greg & Matthew having fun in our "pool" :)

Matthew making a mess with wipes. . .chillin' with Dad &Grandpa watching a video, eating his first popsicle (loved it!)& enjoying the spa, as always! His new favorite thing is to go underwater - fun, but a little scary!

Heather & the boys came over recently and we finger painted for the first time! Matthew & the boys enjoyed the gooey stuff on their hands, and even managed to get some on paper! I absolutely love the last photo, Jake & Drew are such good buds to Matthew :)

Like music to our ears. . .

So we got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time today, at 12 wks preggo - so awesome, it just melts my heart :) We actually got it on film, so here it is!

So here's a pic to show my growing belly, be it ever so slowly at this point :)

And finally, a video of Matthew, he's so much fun. He's starting to get more into pretend play, and it's just so cute! Like, not pictured in this video, he loves to pick up a phone, say hello, talk jibberish, say bye bye and put it down. I'm sure most kids do this, but it's just so darn cute every time! These are a few of my favorite things. . . .

When Matthew walks around the house talking loudly at the top of his lungs - who knows what he's saying, but it's cute (and sometimes irritating :-P)

How he likes to crawl like a catapillar and dance like a maniac :)

How he gives me big hugs, and when I tell him I love him and ask him if he loves me back, he says "MmHmm"!

When Josh whispers in his ear to "go tickle mommy" he promptly comes over and tickles me - and then vice-versa, he could spend all evening going back and forth.

He likes to play pretend "Nigh-Night" where Josh or I will close our eyes and start snoring, and he'll come and scare us awake. When we ask him to go "Nigh-Night" he closes his eyes really tight - it's so cute.

When he counts to 10 - it's so adorable. He normally only counts from 1 to 5 OR 6 to 10, he rarely counts it all together, unless we say it with him.

When he sings the alphabet song with me. I think he only gets the letters: D, G, P, S, V, X, Z - but he tries so hard!

He thinks farting is funny. Oh no. Josh taught him that one.

Sneezing is funny too. . .ha ha

I love how he can make anything funny, and turn the worst day into the best day. An ode to Matthew, the greatest little boy in the world :)

A new way to blog. . .

So I think I'm just going to start posting mini-blogs, for different funny or interesting things that come up, mostly in the life of Matthew. Some will have pictures, some will just have quick blurbs - like todays. . .

This morning, Matthew peed on the carpet. Ugh. I had stripped him down to take a shower, and as always he runs around the house naked for a little while. Today it was a mistake. So I didn't see it happen, but Matthew comes around the corner, sees me, and starts walking back the other way. It's time for the shower, so follow him to try and corral him in. He walks right over to the puddle, sticks his foot in it, looks at me and says "Hot!". . .ha ha, oh the joys of motherhood!

This is how we told our family about our new bundle of joy :) We're all so excited to welcome Baby Williams #2 into this world sometime in February (official due date February 28th). Matthew is going to be such a great big brother!
