Another Day, Another Dollar. . .

Okay, so nothing new to report - just wanted to post a few pics for my bro up in Oregon. I promise we'll get the camera to do Skype soon - we miss you!
My cutie patootie!

Another crazy hair shot - gotta take as many as I can before we give him a haircut!

What IS this stuff?

So this was supposed to be a weekend of firsts - first cereal, first haircut, first time in the pool. . . .well, we don't have the right scissors for the hair (and frankly, I chickened out a little bit), and the weather wasn't pool permitting - but Josh was able to make the yard look beautiful, with the help of my dad - thanks dad! But we DID give Matthew his first taste of rice cereal. So far, he doesn't like it - he just starts to whine, and this weekend he's really fine tuned his high-pitched whining skills. . . but I have to admit it's actually cute. . .sometimes.
.
" You want me to EAT that?"
"Uhhh. . .that's what I think about that. . ."

I'll show this to all his future girlfriends. . .mua ha ha ha (evil laugh)
But seriously, I probably will. . . . .it's my duty as a mom, right?!

Fun in the sun. . .

Today's weather was just awesome - a perfect day to have a playdate at the pool! We all grabbed our kiddos and gear and headed down to Suzanne's pool to enjoy this wonderful turn in the weather. Matthew's been dealing with some nasty allergies (darn pollen!) - at least I think they're allergies - so no swimming for us today, but at least we got to hang out and eat yummy sandwiches and chit-chat. All the babies are getting so big, so fast - here are some pics to commemorate our day:

Handsome in a hat!
Matthew & Mommy, ready for the sun!
Baby Aliya
Jake & Drew (from left to right, or right to left?)
Melissa & AJ
Suzanne & Aiden

Ronya & Cailin were also there - but Cailin was camera shy so I didn't get a picture :-( Hopefully there will be many more sun, pool and beach filled days to come!

5 Months. . .

I know I'll say this every month - but I can't believe Matthew is 5 months old! This month was fun - well, they're all fun, but you know what I mean! Easter was a blast; we spent it with both of our families and enjoyed preparing a basket for Matthew - full of the candy WE like, of course. He's rolling over from his tummy to his back like a champ. He had done it a few times, randomly, but then a few weeks back we had brought him in bed with us and put him on his tummy and he started to fuss a bit. Then, all the sudden, he flipped over and froze and just stared at us, as if saying "what happened? what did I just do?" - it was funny. Another story Josh likes to tell - we had a big bowl full of candy from Easter with bright, shiny, multicolored wrappers in different textures - fun stuff to a baby, right? Then we placed Josh's guitar capo (something that you place on the neck of the guitar to make it play in different keys) in the bowl, kind of buried. We then let Matthew grab for stuff in the bowl, and what was the first thing he reached for and grasped succesfully? The capo!! A guitar player in the making :-) Alright, so here's a few photos from the past month - enjoy!

"Isn't my hair just awesome?!" I just love the look on his face!
Easter outfit :-) Superman!
Looking pretty hard core. . .
