Sitting up is SO much fun!

He's more and more a little boy, less and less my little baby. He's sitting up now, and he loves it. He looks around, reaches for toys, has a blast. Now once he gets the whole movement thing down, we're in trouble. I can tell this kid is going to get into everything! He is such a happy little guy - he was laughing at his daddy when we shot the picture below. The flix are just a glimpse into Matthew's first time at the park - enjoyed the swing (somewhat), but not too sure of the slide yet. . .

Hot Hot Heat!

So this weekend's heat wave brought us to the beach and the pool for the first time - so much fun! He didn't enjoy it too terribly much (teething, so a bit fussy) - but he splashed around for a little bit. We'll definitely do it more this summer. Yay summer!

Ok, enjoying the water now :-)

Freakishly Tall?!

Okay, so maybe not freakish, but at 6 1/2 months we're shopping for a new carseat because he's so dang long! Isn't he precious when he's sleeping?

Happy Half Birthday!

6 months have flown by - I mean, I know everyone says it goes fast, but man does it go fast! So this month Matthew has started eating rice cereal (barely, doesn't really like it much), is almost sitting up on his own, wanting to crawl (we can see it in his eyes), has found his high-pitched squealing ability, starting to teeth. . .and got his very first haircut (see "Nerd Alert" below)!
.
Look at those stunning baby blues!

"Am I handsome, adorable, spectacular or what?!"

Nerd Alert!

Okay, so we did it, we took the plunge and we cut his hair. So we're not professional haircutters (and okay, it might show a little), but we think he's cute! He's a little more nerd and a little less punk, but it'll grow back, right?! ha ha - no seriously, you'll see the before and after and you have to agree, he needed it. Wonder when we'll need to do it again? I think next time we'll consult a professional :-)
