Fun Filled February!

I feel like I haven't been keeping up this blog like I should, particularly in the information area, so here's what's new!
Matthew is almost 16 months old already - crazy. He had a great 15 month check up - 22lb (which is about 25th percentile) and almost 33in tall (about 90th percentile)! He walks like a pro and is starting to get the concept of running - not sure if I'm up for that yet. He loves to mop, sweep, dust, vacuum, anything to help me around the house. His new favorite thing is to turn the lights on and off - we have several lamps with the pull strings on them; those are his favorite. If he walks into a room with a fan, it must be turned on. He also loves animals and the outdoors - especially his Grandma's dog Roxy who he walks around the house saying "no no no" too (copying Grandma & Grandpa who say it to get her to stop barking). He can make the sounds of an elephant, a lion and a duck, and he can point out those animals plus a frog (or "ga"). He can point out his nose, mouth, ears, eyes, belly button, and he says "mama" "dada" "on" "yum" "nana (banana)" (and "more" and "all done" in sign language) - oh and he kisses. Sorry, I'm gushing - just wanted to get all this in writing, because I'm not keeping his baby book up too well lately. . .shhh, don't tell!
Nothing much new with Josh and I - both still working at NCC, but I'm a lot more part-time lately which has been great for us. I love spending more time with Matthew, and/or getting some time to work around the house (or nap, he he!). We are so excited for Josh's bro David & Simone's wedding this coming weekend - I'm sure that will be our next blog post! For now, here are some pics of some of the highlights of this month - WAP, Playwerx & Park!
Matthew & I went to the Wild Animal Park with Jessica & Sammy, and Jillian, Stryder, Indiana & Leia - what fun!

We got to go to Playwerx in Carlsbad with Heather, Drew & Jake, and Suzanne & Aiden! Then the next day, Josh, Matthew & I took a walk to a local park for a slidin' good time :-)

Feeding the Ducks!

I have been loving our sunny, 80 degree weather lately! I know, I know, I'm usually hating it, especially at this time of year - I absolutely LOVE the rain and gloom - but now that Matthew is at such a fun, interactive age, it is so great to be able to go outdoors, take him to new places and chase him around. I have a feeling this will be a great summer. By the way, we miss you Greg, and I'm sure you're missing us and our So Cal weather too!
